But you probably don’t know the real reason why these plans exist. You probably don’t know how important these plans are to the success of any business.

Business plans are really good at being a checklist. They’re filled with things you need to do that can’t be done without a plan. In fact, I’d argue they get so involved in the process that they often make it too much.
I can argue that most business plans are too busy, not enough involved in making it happen, not enough involved in the process, not enough involved in the outcome.

I don’t really think that the plan is the worst thing about planning. I think it is the planning process itself that often makes it fail. I’m not talking about planning for something that is too small, but for something that is too big. In other words, if you have a big plan in place, it’s almost impossible to actually get anything done because you’ve got so much to do too.

And the answer to this question isnt going to be easy. Because if you have a business plan book, you will have to spend a lot of time thinking about it and writing a ton of details about the product, all while getting a lot of feedback from people you dont even know.
