It’s amazing how often we need someone to tell us what we want to hear. “We want this, we want that, and we want that.” But to be honest, that’s not really the case. Those things are usually what we want to hear. But if we think about it, the only thing we want to hear, is what we want to think. If we don’t want to hear what we don’t want to think, then we don’t want to think.

This concept is the core of the mind-set of most people. This is where our beliefs come from. We have to ask ourselves, “are they actually true, or is my belief just a convenient excuse for me to tell myself what to think?” If the answer is “no,” then you should stop thinking. But if the answer is yes, then you should stop telling yourself that it’s important to think about it.

The problem with many people is that they believe what they want to believe and do what they want to do. They do what they want to do because that is what they believe to be the correct thing to do. That is one of the most common problems people have when it comes to religion or political beliefs. In other words, they think they are doing good things by what they believe to be the correct thing to do, but they are actually doing bad things.
