For a company that has been around for over 60 years, it is quite easy to forget that business is a business. We forget that the people who make our products, sell them, and support us also need to spend some time on their health and physical well-being.
It’s not just the business that is important, it is the relationship between the company and its employees that is so important in the long run. At Redimed, it is in the lives of our sales associates, our people who spend more time with their families, who get sick, who are stressed, and so on, who deserve better than to be treated like second-class citizens on our health and wellness.
In our view, a company’s health and wellbeing is really more important than a company’s business. A company that is healthy and happy is more likely to be successful, more likely to be successful in the long run, more likely to be able to pay its suppliers and the people who make your products (like our sales associates), and ultimately, more likely to be able to pay you for your services.
I think this is a really good point. I think it is important, and the companies that I work with think the same way. It’s how we work together, and how we treat each other, that matters.
It is important because the last thing you want to do is turn a good thing into a bad thing. But I think it is important because when we treat our employees and our suppliers and our customers like anything other than a business, then they start to become less effective and less successful. And that is also a bad thing.
The first thing I would say is, don’t compare your company’s health to that of a competitor’s, or to your own, or to any other company’s.
First of all, this is a very broad statement. We all have different levels of health, and our health is a very personal thing. And when we treat our employees and our suppliers and our customers like anything other than a business, then they start to become less effective and less successful. And that is also a bad thing.
My company is a business with the goal of making money, and that is also a bad thing. Companies can’t just make money and leave their employees and their suppliers and their customers alone.
With that in mind, we’ve been running a survey to get feedback from over 100 employees in our company about the way their health is. We’re currently getting some responses, and the results are very surprising to me, so I wanted to share them.
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey. I am truly grateful for the feedback you provide. It is very encouraging to hear that people are aware of the reality of their personal health and are taking measures to prevent and reverse their ill health or at least reduce it somewhat. I also want to thank you for your willingness to share your experience with the rest of our company.
